It’s winter, it’s cold, it’s snowy and I need some champs! That’s why this outfit caught my attention. It consists of some cute cargo skinnies, a flannel, and some platform booties!
They’re in! I’m telling you I am the biggest advocate against cargo pants and shorts. Like I can’t tell you enough how many times I’ve yelled at my dad and brother to just throw them away, just thow. them. away. And yet, here I am liking the double pockets! And that’s because they’re cute as f**k! I’m totally serious I get so many compliments about them you’d think I was Victoria Beckham.
So on to my next favvvvv winter essential– the flannel! This honestly goes great in the fall or winter, but the winter is just SO cold who wouldn’t want to curl up in a cute, comfy flannel shirt? So my all time favorite is from Forever 21.
I love it because of all the white that’s included in the coloring. It doesn’t limit your outfit by only letting you wear certain shirts underneath, if you keep it open, or the color of your pants. Or what color beanie you want to rock that day either! The sleeves roll down so when you’re chilling, literally, just roll them down and you’re good to go. Additionally, I love a good flannel because if there’s anything provides that, “I’m cute, but I’m not trying too hard” look, it’s it.
Ok, so let’s talk platform booties. Why are they a winter essential you ask? 1. They have a heel. Just because it’s cold and you don’t want to leave the house doesn’t mean that flat boots are required. Booties have those thick heels for a reason, and that’s so you don’t fall! The extra support will keep you off your bum, don’t even worry. Secondly, if you live anywhere where the weather can change at the drop of a hate like I do, you’re going to want something with a little lift. I.e: the platform! The worst is getting bits of snow stuffed in your shoe and around the ankle when walking from the cab to the door to the cigarette breaks out back. Ain’t no body got time for that!
These guys are from Nine West but I actually found them on Resultly. They’re leather so you don’t have to worry about the salt or snow staining like your suede shoes do. They also have the thicker, rather short heel so if it is slick outside you’ll still be upright and golden. Unless the champs gets the best of you!
So i hope that helps next time you decide to go out in the snow!
